FILM STRANGER THAN FICTION

What if you realize that you are merely a fictional character, fictitious author, especially if you hear the author's narrative voice in your head? Will you rebel, or at least find out who 'write' you?

That's what happened by Harold Crick (Ferrell) who underwent routine with a boring life. As an employee of the IRS (Tax), his routine is a number, not spontaneity. All that changed when he heard Kay Eiffel (Thompson), an author who narrated every detail perfectly Harold activity.

At first Harold did not know it was the voice of Kay even visited a psychiatrist who thought he was suffering from schizophrenia. The psychiatrist gave advice to Harold visits a literature professor, Professor Jules Hillbert (Hoffman). From Jules he knew that his life is fiction, it is a fiction writer named Kay. Worse Harold knew that he would 'shut down' only he did not know when. He did not want to die and have to meet the writer.

Miraculously it turns out Kay is in the same world with Harold and they met. What will they do? Then how Harold relationship with Ana Pascal (Gyllenhaal) that has been warmed up, will the disclosure damaged by this? Kay himself is a strange novel writer, he suffered from writer's block (stuck in the work as a writer) and trying to find the right way to 'turn off' Harold in his novel.
